Hahalloooo Hime-desssuuuuuuuu :3
For y'all that don't know what that means it just means "I'm Hime" XD, but call me Elrios ^^.
Okie down to business. First of all lets be honest with ourselves here... anime graphics with English voices just don't go together, I guess Korean voices aren't that bad, but for those of us that watch anime and are used to hearing Japanese voices, you would be SURPRISED how much changing the voices to Japanese makes a difference to the overall game. After this tutorial I will give a list of places in the game you should go to cuz they talk a lot at those places and youd be able to hear the Japanese voices in all their glory \*^*/
Alright, lets begin:
STEP ONE: DOWNLOAD THE VOICE CHANGER
ok so the name of the voice changer is Kurisutaru's Elsword voice changer. Once you are on here you have to download two things. The first is the voice changer itself, to download that, you click on this picture:
Then you download the Japanese voice files on the same page, actually right below the first picture.
The Japanese voice files we downloaded above would be in a .rar file, make a new folder in your desktop and call it "Jap", extract these files into the Jap folder.
After downloading both of these, you open the voice changer app and it should look like this:
so what you need to do next is click on the settings button on the bottom left corner of the app and do the following under each heading.
LAUNCHER: Click browse, and go to where your Elsword.exe file is, that is the launcher
GAME DIRECTORY: Click on Browse. In the same folder as your Elsword.exe file is, there should be a folder called data, that's the game directory.
VOICE DIRECTORY: Now this is one of the important ones, this refers to the folder your JAPANESE voice files are in, the Jap folder. So click on browse and go to desktop and select the Jap folder.
BACKUP DIRECTORY: The backup directory is where the voice changer software will keep a back up of the KOREAN ORIGINAL voices. What you do is in Desktop create a new folder and call it Backup. That back up file is what you search for after clicking browse.
After you have done all this, it should look like this:
STEP 2: PLAYING THE GAME
Alright now that we are all set, i'll lead you through the steps to making the voice changer work.
First you click on back up, this will save your current files into the backup folder, so it is important that you do this before the voices are changed. Also you only have to press this button once and that's during the original setup, this is because the software will save your current voices into that folder and will ALWAYS use that folder as the back up, meaning that you don't have to press this button every time you want to play the game. The only other time you will have to press it is after the weekly game updates when Elsword changes its files.
After clicking back up you press launch to open the game launcher. The game launcher is that window that says elsword at the top and usually has the ongoing events displayed on the front. This game launcher is also the phase where the game double checks its files to make sure they are intact. Now like cute little geniuses, we press the change button on the voice changer IMMEDIATELY AFTER that launch window DISAPPEARS. In other words, yes, swap the files while the game isn't looking XD. After this is done the game should continue to load normally, you login and you select your character. NOW this is our first check point, as you click on each character in the character select screen, you should hear them introduce themselves BUT in Japanese (meaning the software works). If your voices did not change please message me. Also if you like you could go to the character creation screen and listen to the characters talk about themselves, this is another way to check if it works.
The next important step, and please do not forget, is to click the restore button after you close the game, this will switch back the voice files with the originals.
P.S my favourite voices are camellia and add.
